Dixie is a 9 year old mare.  She is liver chestnut in color and stands at 14 hands tall.  She is really broke and has a great handle on her with lots of riding miles.  She has had lots of natural horsemanship training.  She has been on TONS of trail rides, parades, playdays and was in the Burnet County Jr. Posse.    She is not spooky and will cross any obstacle.  She is calm on the trail but is quick and catty around the barrels with plenty of speed so I recommend her for intermediate riders and up.  She is also cowy and has done some team penning and cow sorting.  You can ride her bareback in nothing but a halter, even down the trails or by traffic.  This horse has excellent feet and does NOT need shoes so we would like her to stay bare-foot.  She's a great lil all around horse that loves to please and only requires very light hands. She travels with a natural low headset and transitions smoothly through her gaits.  Dixie has great stamina, a nice extended trot, and a traveling fast walk.  She also has excellent brakes.
